On the eve of the Civil War, Julie Marston, a wilful southern belle, does everything in her spiteful power to goad her fiance into a jealous rage. When he is stricken by the plague, she reforms and tries to atone her wicked and sinful ways. Starring Henry Fonda and Bette Davis in her second Best Actress Academy Award performance. Based on the play by Owen Davis Sr.
