Edited version of the feature film of the same name produced in 1977. Story of a boy who lives with his widowed father in a comfortable but ramshackle beach house amidst coastal sand dunes in South Australia’s Coorong. He befriends three young pelicans orphaned by hunters who have shot the mother bird. Adapted from the book of the same title by Colin Thiele. Cast includes Peter Cummins, Greg Rowe, David Gulpilil.
