This comedy stars Alec Guinness as an underpaid bank clerk who plans and executes a gold robbery but his colleagues’ attempt to hide the loot leads to bizarre and suspenseful complications. Also features Stanley Holloway and Sidney James. Won Academy award for Best story and screenplay.
