Kevin Handreck, a CSIRO researcher for over 30 years and author of the highly successful books, “Discovering Soil”, stars in this video produced in conjunction with “Gardening Australia”. He covers the treatment of clay soil, planting out from containers, making compost, the importance of soil pH, potting mixes, the importance of earthworms, hydroponics, pot plant care, effective watering and watering systems, the care of lawns, prevention of soil-borne diseases and selecting the correct fertiliser.
