Based on the book by sports journalist Gary Lester, the program is hosted by Olympic Gold medal winner John Konrads. Covers Australian competitors in Olympics from Athens in 1896 to Moscow in 1980. Rare footage is seen and some interviews with Australian champions such as Betty Cuthbert, Hubert Opperman, Dawn Fraser and others.
