This video, which has detailed demonstrations of traditional Chinese dishes and garnishes, is interspersed with views of life in Hong Kong, particularly the markets, the restaurants and the harbour. It is divided into five sections: “Delights of the heart” which covers breakfasts and dim sum, “Treasures from the sea”, “Meat roasts”, “Food and festivals” and “Homecooking”. Demonstrated dishes include spare ribs en papillotte, sauteed oysters with spring onion and ginger, roast pork and duck and spiced crispy chicken.
