Eion Scarrow, a professional gardener for 40 years, is New Zealand’s best known gardening personality. He and his wife, Ann, own a magnificent display garden in the Waikato, “Willow Glen Gardens”. Using their own garden to demonstrate summer gardening tips, they explain how to care for potted plants when you go away on holidays, how to compost in an open frame structure; care and pruning of citrus trees; mineral deficiencies in the soil; spraying programs and protective equipment for garden pests and diseases; care of variegated plants; deadheading; mulching; safety and care of motor mowers and lawn watering systems and care and preparation of the vegetable garden.
