Episode of Series “BBC Television Shakespeare Series”.
Adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s comedies. Falstaff in love, attempts to woo two wealthy burgesses of Windsor, whom in turn, resolve to trick him with all their female weaponry. A colourful, eccentric comedy featuring an excellent cast starring Richard Griffiths as Falstaff, Alan Bennett as Judge Shallow, Ben Kingsley as Frank Ford, and Judy Davis and Prunella Scales as Mistresses Ford and Page.
