Episode of Series “Concepts in science: biology”.
Energy flow encompasses one of the principal themes of biology: the flow of energy throughout the world of living things. Central to this concept is the process of photosynthesis, without which life could not exist. The programs deal with energy flow in organisms, within cells and the role of energy in our agricultural system. It concludes with an examination of the biosphere. The six 10 minute episodes are: 1. “The Concept of energy flow”, 2. “Photosynthesis”, 3. “Energy flow in the ecosystem”, 4. “Energy flow at cellular level”, 5. “Energy flow in agriculture”, 6. “Energy flow in the biosphere.”
