Episode of Series “Concepts in science: biology”.
Organic evolution traces the development of various theories of evolution. It begins with the Biblical account of creation and discusses the work of Mendel, Darwin and the Hardy-Weinberg law. Examines microscopic and macroscopic organisms, genetics, heredity, cell reproduction, breeding populations, hypothesis and observation. The six episodes are entitled: 1. “In the Beginning” 2. “Darwin, naturally” 3. “Factoring in Mendel” 4. “The Meiotic mix” 5. “The Population picture” 6. “Mutation and all that.”
