The first Dad and Dave ‘talkie’ based on the long running stage hit that was derived from the stories of Steele Rudd. The play was a huge success with Depression audiences and in his screen adaptation, Ken Hall stressed the characters’ abilities to fight back against adversity. An early Australian classic.
