Overviews childhood and adolescence in Australia from 1788 to 1990’s, using photographs, archival footage and printed material. Includes the topics of children’s work, access to education, children’s health, Aboriginal children, the impact of radio and TV, teenagers and consumerism and multi-cultural Australia. Provides a “potted view” of history from the perspective of children and their changing role in our society.
