Examines research on the prenatal period, as well as neonatal starting dates that facilitate an infant’s survival. Alternative birth processes are analysed. Families in Brazil, Russia and the U.S. prepare for birth and go through delivery. Human genetics principles, prenatal care and risk factors are considered.
