Episode number 2 of Series “Astronomy: an Open Learning unit”.
Provides a brief history of astronomy and a look at constellations. The program then focuses on how to map the sky and determine the location of celestial objects as well as looking at the differences between stars in terms of magnitude, colour and position. Examines the Moon and its cycles, and the location of planets in the night sky.
