‘On the Beach’ is one of the most celebrated anti-nuclear films in motion picture history. Based on the novel by Nevil Shute, it is the story of US Naval commander Dwight Towers, who is sent to assist Australian authorities after the rest of the world has been devastated by a nuclear holocaust. Towers must attempt to save a small group of survivors as impending doom approaches.
