An award winning production recounting the life story of master 17th Century musician M de Saint Colombe (Jean-Paul Marielle) and his brilliant protege, Marin Marais. Marais (Gerard Depardieu), reflects on his life as a student when he fell in love with his mentor’s eldest daughter Madeleine (Anne Brochet). Guillaume Depardieu portrays the young Marais. The musical score, costumes and settings are outstanding.
