This program was designed for use by schools and community groups, targets 12 to 17 year olds and people supporting them, and aims to inform about how the Child Protection system deals with reported abuse, the right of young people to personal safety and their legal rights under the Care and Protection Section of the Children, Young Persons and their Families Act, New Zealand.

Our collection comprises over 40,000 moving image works, acquired and catalogued between the 1940s and early 2000s. As a result, some items may reflect outdated, offensive and possibly harmful views and opinions. ACMI is working to identify and redress such usages.
