Designed to improve awareness of intellectually disabled offenders in the criminal justice system, given that this group comprise a disproportionate percentage of both the prison population and juvenile offenders held in institutions. Re-enacts a shop lifting offence by an intellectually disabled youth and follows the case from initial apprehension by the store detective and police interviewing to the arrest and court proceedings. Emphasises the importance of liason with community agencies.
