Based on the Newberry Award winning novella by Sid Fleichman, ‘The Whipping boy’ tells the story of spoiled Prince Horace and Jemmy a streetwise orpan who is `conscripted’ into becoming the Prince’s whipping boy; a stand-in for the the Prince when he is to be punished. When the Prince’s pranks, designed to get his father’s attention, bring the country to the brink of war, he and Jemmy escape into the wide world and a series of adventures destined to change their lives.
