This video celebrates 40 years of the association between ABC Television and the Australian Opera. The best performers, conducters, designers assemble in a gala performance. Unique archival footage from an early production of Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro” staged in 1960, to the more recent production of “La Boheme” by Baz Luhrmann is featured. Some of the performers are Dame Joan Sutherland, Donald Smith, Neil Warren-Smith, John Shaw, Joan Carden, Yvonne Kenny and Jeffrey Black.
