Monica Goermann is a young Winipeg gymnast who is on her way to becoming an international celebrity. Under the watchful supervision of her mother, who is also her coach, Monica trains daily, executing difficult moves with superhuman control. In this film she is shown preparing for the 1978 Commonwealth Games at Edmonton, where she tied for the Siver Medal.
