Part one of 5 programs on South America introduces us to this mixture of people and shows how they are affecting, and being affected by, their heritage, resources, agriculture, industry and urban vs. rural life. The program pays particular attention to the ethnic mix of the continent and the consequent diversity in cultural and agricultural practices.
