History comes alive with the rarely seen footage of Geelong and surrounding districts presented on this video. This compilation, selected from newsreels, documentaries, home movies and election propaganda. Featured are the towns of Geelong, Moriac, Queenscliff, Colac, Lorne and Corio. Highlights include: VFL Geelong vs Essendon 1911 ; WWI troops leaving Geelong ; Queenscliff 1923 ; construction of the Great Ocean Road 1920s ; Geelong centenary parade 1938 ; Miss Geelong 1945 ; Barwon floods 1951.
