Episode number 1 of Series “Painter and poet: an experiment in words, music and paintings”.
The first part of a series devised by John Maude and Michael Warre incorporating the works of writers, painters and musicians to create an experimental animated film. This part consists of two short films. ‘Twa corbies’ by anonymous narrated by John Laurie, drawings by Michael Rothenstien (2:24 mins). ‘Spring and winter’ by William Shakespeare, music by Dr. Arne and sung by Peter Pears, drawings by Mervyn Peake (5:40 mins).
