This tape features 5 technicolour classics originally screened from 1941 to 1943, with a VHS transfer from the original 35mm print. Individual episodes include: “Superman”; Superman makes his first appearance saving Metropolis from a mad scientist and his dangerous electrothenasia ray; “The Mechanical monsters”; Superman must once again save the day and protect Metropolis from thieving robots; “Billion dollar limited”; a train laden with gold is in danger from being stolen; “Arctic giant”; dinosaurs walk the earth when a frozen dinosaur from Siberia thaws out; “Bulleteers”; crooks in a bullet shaped rocket car threaten destruction to Metropolis unless their demands are met. Also included on this tape is the spoof “Snafuperman”. This wartime parody is about Private Snafu, entrusted with super powers by a technical fairy, who uses his abilities to fight the Nazis.
