Episode of Series “Rock n’ roll: the greatest years”.
More than any other decade, the 1950’s is synonymous with the rock and roll revolution. This tape provides a nostalgic compilation of classics from the era, smattered with a healthy dose of gossip surrounding the performers. Songs on the tape include: “Heartbreak hotel”, Elvis Presley: “Problems”, Everly Brothers: “Great balls of fire”, Jerry Lee Lewis: “Lollipop”, Chordettes: “Turn me loose”, Cliff Richard: “Blueberry Hill”, Fats Domino: “Peggy Sue”, Buddy Holly: “Diana”, Paul Anka; “Teenage heaven”, Eddie Cochran: “Shakin’ all over”, Vince Taylor: “Memphis Tennessee”, Chuck Berry: “Blue suede shoes”, Carl Perkins: “Puttin’ on the style”, Lonnie Donegan: “Lucille”, Little Richard: “Please, please, please”, James Brown: “I’m not a juvenile delinquent”, Frankie Lymon: “Yes tonight Josephine”, Johnnie Ray: “Three cool cats”; Cliff Richard, Marty Wilde and Dickie Pride: “Wake up little Suzie”, Everly Brothers: “Only you”, The Platters: “I’m in love again”, Fats Domino: “Don’t be cruel (to a heart that’s true)”, Elvis Presley.
