Irania (vol. 1) covers Iran’s Islamic era, from 7th century A.D. to the present days. The information in this volume is divided into seven categories: mosques and theological faculties, pavilions and gardens, mausolea and tombs, natural vistas, holy shrines, nomads of Irans, other historical sites. Highlights include Esfahan with the Blue Mosque, the Bazaar and the famous bridges doubling as tea houses, the Eram garden in Shiraz and the citadel of Bam. Viewers familiar with Iranian films, such as ‘Gabbeh’ will find comprehensive information on the Ghashghaie tribe of the Fars province. Irania presents 350 monuments through 3000 pictures, video clips as well as historical information, a timeline and maps. Each section is fully searchable and can be printed. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Multimedia PC or compatible with 486 or higher processor, CD-Rom drive, audio board, speakers and SVGA resolution monitor with 256 colors or higher, 8 MB of RAM, at least 10 MB hard drive space, Windows 95 or later. Includes narration in English and in Farsi.
