Alice Springs, the outback centre of Australia as seen by tourists. The main street with modern buildings and shops, up-to-date hotels, air mail delivery by chartered plane, new schools, contemporary homes. The beautiful church dedicated to the memory of John Flynn, “Flynn of the Inland”, who founded the Australian Inland Mission and the Flying Doctor Service. The surrounding country, Stanley Chasm, Uluru, and the airport which keeps it in touch with the rest of Australia.
