The 1960 annual show of the British aircraft industry, exhibiting the latest developments in aeronautical engineering and missiles. Among the main features were the Jindivik, a radio-controlled target plane, the hovercraft, the short sc.1 Vertical take-off research jet plane and among various new civil types, the Avro 748 airliner freighter. The flying display included team aerobatics by the famous “Black Arrows” Hunter jets of 111 squadron, R.A.F.
