Peter Jamieson, Edmonton’s self-appointed “town crier”, is an unlikely court jester to a western boom town. From early morning until evening, six days a week, an aging Jamieson marches through downtown streets proclaiming the latest news, weather and sports, just as he has done for more than forty years.
