The peoples of the world want food, they want technical resources, they want scientific knowledge and above all they want peace. The film traces the history of UNESCO (United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation) and illustrates how, through this organisation, books, paintings and the tools of eduation are being supplied to the peoples of many lands.
