Following the death of ruthless baliff Dreverhaven, Jakob, a young lawyer is arrested for his murder. During interrogation he reveals the victim is his father and through a series of flashbacks tells the story of a boy who feels rejected by his family. Based on the novel by Ferdinand Bordewijk. In Dutch with English subtitles.
