In the heart of Asia can be seen traces of a great civilization. The Central Asian region formed part of the Kisham Empire, comparable in greatness with that of the Romans. This film shows the relatively unknown cultural heritage of Central Asia. Made in co-operation with UNESCO and with the assistance of the National Commissions for UNESCO of Afghanistan, India, Iran, Pakistan and the USSR.
