Documents a young Scottish migrant’s arrival to Melbourne and his subsequent journey with his new found Aussie mate around Australia. They visit Portsea and travel through various country areas of Victoria finally stopping at Mooroopna when their car breaks down. The Scotsman gets a job at Mooroopna in the local Ardmona Fruit Cannery for the season. The film shows the making of cans and the processing and canning of the peach and pear crops.
