Prospecting for petroleum

An account of man’s never-ending search for oil. Opens with a dramatized survey of the importance of oil in modern industrial economy, followed by an account of how oil is formed in the earth’s crust. Methods used by early oil prospectors are compared with the magnetic gravimetric and seismic surveys used in the modern search for oil. An animated film.
