Erin Brockovich (Julia Roberts) is a single mother raising three young children. Failing to win a law suit following an automobile accident, she begins work as a secretary for lawyer Ed Masry where she stumbles over a small case against Pacific Gas and Electric. Further investigation reveals the company is responsible for contaminating the town’s water supply and contributing to the illnesses of a number of families. With Ed’s help, Erin files a law suit on behalf of the families involved. Based on a true story.
