The Honour of Cochise

Episode of Series “Bonanza”.
In this episode from Season Three of ‘Bonanza’ (first screened 10/8/61), the Cartwrights and a bigoted army captain who takes refuge with them are pinned down by Cochise and his braves. The Cartwrights make camp on their way home, then suddenly have to come to the defense of Army Captain, Moss Johnson, running from an Apache attack. Ben and his sons find themselves surrounded by Cochise and his people who refuse to leave without Johnson. Ben agrees to hear Cochise’s side of the story and learns that Captain Johnson called Cochise and his people together to talk of peace and used the opportunity to poison them. Adam is shot trying to get water and now Ben faces a dilemma, turn Johnson over to Cochise, or try to go for help and leave his son’s to defend him. Cast includes Lorne Greene, Michael Landon, Dan Blocker, Pernell Roberts and Jeff Morrow.
