Series 2, episodes 8-13. “Manna From Heaven: (Dir: Steve Jodrell); Pearl Bay is being destroyed by a mysterious insect that has devoured Laura’s House, the courtroom and even the Tropical Star. Heather reveals her parent’s identity to the entire town and the town reveals a shocking secret. “Playing with fire” (Dir: Brendan Maher); Pearl Bay is suffering the effects of a heat wave; all the men in town become attracted to Laura; Miranda falls for a fireworks expert whose accused of being a pyromaniac and Kevin proposes to Phrani. “Not such great expectations” (Dir: Brendan Maher); Bob convinces Craig to leave school and follow in his footsteps; Laura worries about Rupert’s school marks and Miranda’s career indecision; and Max begins to write his book. “Kitty litter” (Dir: Paul Moloney); Laura discovers Trudi living with Jack and admits she is afraid of being replaced as their mother; Harold’s estranged wife, Cynthia, appears in court while Harold decides that its time he and Meredith married. “Other peoples’ opinions” (Dir: Paul Moloney); Max is seen leaving Laura’s house - via the bedroom window; Karen is left in charge of the police station while Sergeant Grey goes on holiday and she and Angus set a wedding date. Trevor goes missing and Phrani reveals a secret from her past. “Law and order” (Dir: Deb Cox , Paul Moloney); The bridge between Pearl Bay and Port Deakin is about to reopen, Laura decides to move back to the city, although Rupert and Miranda want to stay in the Bay. Bob joins the Port Deakin council and the courtroom is the scene of a siege.
