The story of the Woolcot family, living in Sydney in the 1890’s. An Englishman in the New South Wales Regiment, Captain Woolcot is constantly harassed and embarrassed by the antics of his seven mischievous children: Meg, Pip, Judy, Nell, Bunty, Baby and ‘The General’. Episode 1: Fowl for dinner: Captain Woolcot is embarrassed by his children’s behaviour when they interrupt a dinner he is giving for his new Commanding Officer. Episode 2: What are fathers for anyway?: Pip and Judy find themselves in trouble after leaving the General unattended in their father’s office at Victoria Barracks, while they attend a carnival. Episode 3: Consequences: Judy is sent to boarding school at Mt. Victoria, but is determined to return home.
