Based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith, “The Talented Mr. Ripley” is a story about a charismatic sociopath who would rather be a ‘fake somebody than a real nobody’. Living and working in New York as a washroom attendant, Tom Ripley is faced with an opportunity he cannot refuse when a wealthy shipping tycoon mistakes him for a Princeton classmate of his son, Dickie. He proposes that Tom go to Italy in an attempt to bring his playboy son back home. When Tom finds and befriends both Dickie and is girlfriend, neither are aware the extremes Tom will go to in order to claim their lives as his own. Cast includes: Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Cate Blanchett.
