Presented by a range of conservation experts from the British Public Records office, this program looks at the handling and storage of family documents, books, textiles, photographs, films, recorded tapes and military memorabilia, to avoid deterioration. The use of acid free containers, correct temperature control and ventilation, transport methods as well as information about materials and cleaning practices likely to damage family heirlooms are shown.
