The second volume of a television documentary series made for The History Channel that chronicles legendary breakouts by prisoners of war during World War II contains two more episodes: “The escape from the USS Oaklahoma” and “The escape from Dunkirk: the way out”. Archival footage is combined with dramatic recreations and first person testimony to bring to life the courageous acts of civilians, soldiers and the resistance in WWII. “The Great Escapes of WWII” is also available.
