Describes Winchester, one of the great historical cities of England. Shows the 13th century West Gate; Winchester College founded in 1382; Wolvesey Palace (now a ruin) dating back to 1138; Winchester Cathedral (started in 1079, completed in 1486). It was also Winchester where King Alfred held court and Jane Austen lived.
