Set in Laramie, New Mexico, this film deals with the relationship between a single mother and her two teenage daughters, complicated by small town isolation. The film explores the notion of family as it tackles issues of love, death, sex and escape. Stars Brooke Adams, Ione Skye and Fairuza Balk in the lead roles. Cast also includes James Brolin, Robert Knepper, David Landsbury, Chris Mulkey and Donovan Leitch. Screenplay by Alison Anders, based on the novel ‘Don’t Look and It Won’t Hurt’ by Richard Peck.
