A compilation of newsreel segments focusing on Australia. 1. ‘[Royal Melbourne Zoo]’ shows a family strolling through the zoo. 2. ‘[Nar Nar Goon Airport]’ 3. ‘Turtle Island’ includes footage of giant turtles on the beach, men riding the turtles in a light-hearted race, and a dead turtle being cut open to show its heart which continues to beat 48 hours after death. 4. ‘[Peach growing in Australia]’ captures Australia’s fruit growing and canning industry in the 30’s showing the orchards, the sorting and inspection area, women peeling and removing stones, and the mechanised canning and processing sections.
