Episodes one to six of this cult movie serial. Episode 1: “The Planet of peril”. Flash (Larry “Buster” Crabbe), Dale Arden (Jean Rogers) and Dr. Zarkov (Frank Shannon) are captured by Ming the Merciless (Charles Middleton) ruler of the planet, Mongo. Bent on galactic conquest, Ming stops at nothing in his attempt to destroy the Earth. Zarkov is forced to work in Ming’s lab and Flash finds himself wrestling with three fanged men. Episode 2: “The Tunnel of terror”. Dale is subjected to Ming’s “dehumanizer” in order to marry her. Thun of the Lion-Men joins forces with Flash and together they sneak into the Palace and find Zarkov. Flash races to save Dale only to be confronted with the Fire Dragon. Episode 3: “Captured by sharkmen”. After falling through a trap door, Flash and Dale land in an underground river and are taken prisoner by the Sharkmen. Betrayed by their ruler, Kala, Flash becomes entombed in a flooding tank - occupied by Octosak. Episode 4: “Battling the sea beast”. Aura and Thun arrive just in time to save Flash with their ray guns but the underwater city’s controls are destroyed and water starts to flood in. Episode 5: “The Destroying ray”. Using a ray to counteract the magnetic power that holds Kala’s Shark Palace underwater, Ming raises the underwater city to the surface. Enter Prince Barin, true ruler of Mongo who befriends Zarkov. Together they head off to rescue Flash, only to encounter the evil Hawk Men. Episode 6: “Flaming torture”. Flash soon discovers that the planet Mongo is a melting pot of evil leaders when he’s taken prisoner by yet another: Vultan. Flash faces execution in the dreaded “Static Room”…
