Episode of Series “Royal Horticultural Society practical guides”.
Royal Horticultural Society expert Haden Williams gives practical advice on the growing of “top” fruits, ie. those produced on trees. Apples, pears, plums, peaches, nectarines and cherries are covered in the program. He advises the home gardener on the correct choice of aspect, soil preparation and drainage, feeding, pruning, grafting, and training of fruit trees into interesting forms such as fans and espaliers.
