Episode number 3 of Series “Millenium Dilemma: Constitutional Change in Australia”.
The third episode in the “Millennium dilemma” series explores the division of power in the Parliament and the Executive in Australia, with particular attention to Federal and State Powers and their differences. The program offers definitions of and discussions about Parliament and the Executive as well as Federal, State and Local governments by the range of contributors to the program, along with their responsive commentary about questions such as, is there a ‘State and Federal Fiscal Imbalance? What is the power of external affairs? These interviewees include politicians, political analysts, media commentators, academics and legal counsel such as Professor Brian Galligan, UN member Elizabeth Evatt, Justice Michael Kirby, Kim Rubenstein, Kristen Walker, Sir Ninian Stephen and Professor Cheryl Saunders.
