Episode number 5 of Series “Millenium Dilemma: Constitutional Change in Australia”.
The final episode in the “Millennium dilemma” series explores the potential future of the Constitution and the facilities in the current political system that could be employed to institute change. Through commentary from a range of contributors a variety of subjects are discussed including Section 128 of the Australian Constitution, the notion of a citizens referenda and how the community can relate to and have power in the alteration of the Constitution. These contributors include politicians, political analysts, media commentators, academics and legal counsel such as Professor Michael Coper, Dr Helen Irving, Noel Pearson, Sir Zelman Cowan QC and Sir Anthony Mason.
