Soul collection - back to Stax | Stanley Dorfman | 1990 | ACMI collection

This concert, held in 1990, and filmed at the Palais De Festivale Hall in Cannes, France, is a celebration of the achievements of the legendary record company Stax Records. With a distribution deal from Atlantic Records, Stax produced artists that championed the sounds of soul music around the world. This live memorial concert includes performances from: Booker T and the MGs, Phil Upchurch, Carla Thomas, Eddie Floyd, Memphis Horns and Sam Moore.
